Tonight, The Duchess of Cambridge joined the Queen at Buckingham Palace to host a star-studded reception for stars of stage and screen. The Dramatic Arts Reception celebrated 60 years of The Queen’s patronage to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art as well as the contribution of the dramatic arts to national life.
Inside the White Drawing Room, the Queen greeted a line-up of ten hand-picked celebrities including Dame Helen Mirren, Sir Roger Moore, John Hurt, Ralph Fiennes, Timothy Spall, Alan Bennett and Alan Rickman. Among those on the guest list were the actresses Uma Thurman, Joely Richardson, and Joan Collins.
Afterwards, the duo chatted to a selection of the 250 guests before moving to the Ballroom with other members of the Royal family for a series of short performances.
Kate stood out in a vibrant red Alexander McQueen dress. It was one that we had seen previously at the diamond jubilee river pageant.
Completing her ensemble, the Duchess carried her black, bespoke Anya Hindmarch ‘Maud’ clutch, wore her black Prada pumps and her gold Cassandra Goad ‘Temple of Heaven’ chandelier earrings.
