New Year, New Ideas!
Starting in January, in addition to covering the Duchess’ engagements and her gorgeous outfits, I will be sharing and reviewing my repli-kate finds. Like most people, I don’t have endless funds to shop to my hearts content so I have no choice but to find affordable options that look expensive. I hope you will enjoy this new feature!

Express/’My Small Obsessions’ on FB
On Thursday of last week (December 4), the Express Newspaper ran a short story on Kate’s ‘ragged’ nails as she attended the 1851 Trust Board Meeting & Reception at the Goring Hotel. It must have been a slow news week.

You may recall that the Duchess wore this black Alexander McQueen coat with oversized notched lapel, silver-toned hardware and a flared skirt (£1,745) to the Remembrance Sundays events in November of this year.

Buy a Jenny Packham Clutch and support the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund
Jenny Packham in collaboration with the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund are offering a one-of-a-kind bespoke clutch in teal. The clutch is the same shape and uses the identical silk satin that was used on Kate’s clutch when she attended ‘Our Greatest Team Rises Gala’ dinner at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2012.
The designer has used her signature #LMOCF teal shade which also represents ovarian cancer. The clutch retails for $95 and 100% of sales will be donated to the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund.
Just a note that the clutch is not identical to Kate’s. The Duchess’ bespoke Jenny Packham clutch was covered with the same brocade as the inside panel of her gown (see picture).

New Photos of Prince George Released
Yesterday, William and Kate released three new photos of their adorable 17-month-old son, Prince George.
The pictures which were taken last month show a rather pleased prince sitting on the stone steps of Kensington Palace. They are also the first official pictures of George since his first birthday in July.

According to sources, the pictures were taken by Ed Lane-Fox (Harry’s Private Secretary), and who happens to be a former professional photographer. A note accompanying the photos read, “The Cambridges appreciate that their ‘request for Prince George to grow up without intrusion from photography has been honoured.”
