The center provides high-quality educational and mental health services to about 3,300 vulnerable children and families each year, focusing on the early intervention that the Duchess has supported in Britain through her patronage of the charity Place2Be.

The Duchess of Cambridge met staff, joined three and four-year-olds to wrap Christmas presents, and took part in a craft session.

Next, Kate headed off for an intimate lunch at the British Consul General’s official residence.  She chatted to guests including British actor Matthew Rhys and nine other successful expats.

Wrapping up for the freezing weather, Kate wore a mod black, collarless Goat “Washington” swing coat with contrasting nude tabs on the cuffs, back and neckline. Upon closer examination, it appears that she customized the wool crepe coat, by having an extra panel of fabric sewn on to cover her five-month baby bump.

Completing her monochromatic look, the Duchess wore her towering Episode ‘Angel’ pumps, thick tights, held her suede Mulberry ‘Bayswater’ clutch, her Cornelia James Imogen merino wool gloves with side bow, and her gold Annoushka diamond and pearl drop earrings.
Kate’s hair was, sensibly, swept back in a half up, half down do.
