The family was spotted in their black Land Rover headed to their ten-bedroom mansion, Anmer Hall, on the Queen’s estate in Sandringham. This is where they will spend most of the summer.

Anmer Hall is set in the countryside (115 miles from Kensington Palace), close to the beach and good for commuting.

The stately Georgian mansion was given to the Duke and Duchess as a present after their wedding in April 2011. The couple spent nearly $2.5 million to renovate the property, including a conservatory, a new kitchen and a new roof.

On Thursday (March 19th), the Duchess stopped in at Trotters on Kings Road in Chelsea, London. She picked out a new pair of sneakers for Prince George. The ones she chose are the Start-Rite Flexy-Soft Milan navy blue leather sneakers

Kulfi Kids

If you fancy a pair for your little prince, they are available $55 at Kulfi Kids. The neutral-toned shoes feature two baby-blue Velcro straps and a flexible sole

Zara

A few days later on Saturday, March 21, the Duchess picked up another pair of shoes. This time at a Zara store in Kensington for the new little prince or princess. She chose a pair of white leather and beige suede baby booties that are part of the Spanish-owned stores “mini” collection suitable for newborns. The brand’s Leather Blucher shoes are available in sizes from newborn to 9 months and retail for $35.90.

The shop assistant at Zara added that Kate: “Bought a few items from women’s wear and then she went upstairs to the kids department.”

Kate unveils a painting of 30 Irish Guards officers

Gloucestershire Echo

You may recall that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were guests of honor at this year’s 1st Battalion Irish Guards’ St Patrick’s Day Parade, however it has also come to my attention that they participated in an unveiling of a painting that was painted by local Cotswold artist, Lindy Allfrey.

The picture, which now hangs in the Irish Guards Officers’ Mess in Aldershot, shows 30 officers in their splendid dress uniforms. It was commissioned by the Irish Guards.

Sadly, he passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer.

There may be a possible ID on Kate’s hat. It could be the ‘Radio City’ by Lock & Co (Autumn/Winter collection). My guess is that it’s either navy or black. I will contact the designer and update if/when I hear from them.

No-one has been charged for the privilege, but it was expected that those present, who are known as some of the city’s wealthiest men and women would lavish large donations on the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. The charity supports causes as diverse as youth opportunity, the environment and injured service personnel.

Day Four Begins With a Visit to a Malaysian Mosque

Today was a first for both William and Kate as they made their first ever visit to a mosque anywhere in the world. The couple were visiting the Assyakirin Mosque in the centre of Kuala Lumpur, which is the biggest in Malaysia and can host 12,000 for Friday prayers.

As they stepped out the car the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were ushered to chairs to take off their shoes which was in line with religious protocol.

Both were clearly fascinated by the building and its history as they were given a guided tour by the imam, Ustaz Saiful.

Before ending their 20 minute visit, the Duke and Duchess watched men of the mosque washing their hands and feet and were explained the meaning behind it.

Kate wore a bespoke ‘Sabitri’ powder dress by Beulah London (£895). The dress will be exclusively sold at Harvey Nichols in Beulah’s Spring Summer 2013 ready to wear collection.

The frock is described as follows on the Beulah London Website www.beulahlondon.com/:

‘Powder Blue – Silk double georgette cocktail dress

With long billowing sleeves and knee length style, this dress is the perfect piece for any smart, summer occasion. The beautiful silk and cut makes this dress original, flattering and feminine in a versatile way that can be worn from day to evening. This piece is the bespoke version of our Blossom dress. We are only selling a limited number of this style and please note, delivery takes up to 6 weeks.

100% Silk double georgette with silk crepe de chine lining. Dry clean only.’

Bulah London is a label she was seen wearing in June for the wedding of close friend Alice St. John Webster. It is run by Kate and William’s friend Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs

Completing her outfit, Kate wore a matching designer headscarf (women must cover their hair before entering a mosque), her nude LK Bennett heels (£185) and her LK Bennett Natalie clutch.

For many, Kate’s appearance today will evoke memories of Princess Diana, who appeared in an almost identical outfit on a visit to an Egyptian mosque during a tour of Egypt in 1992.

From the mosque, the couple were driven around the corner to a dance festival at the Kuala Lumpur Central Park.

The couple walked round a circular area of the park, where they stopped to watch colourful performances by traditional Malaysian musicians, dancers and a fashion show showcasing the work of Malaysian designers.

Kate removed her headscarf to reveal a beautiful up do. Her trademark tumbling locks were swept up into a 1940s-style up-do.
