Nick Davis/The Royal Foundation/EACH

This was to support and bring attention to Children’s Hospice Week which runs from June 13 to 20 June.

The Duchess of Cambridge released the following statement:

“Around the clock support is crucial for children receiving palliative care. They and their families often need help every hour of every day, both in hospices and at home. As Patron of EACH, I have seen first-hand this remarkable and varied work and just how vital the support of staff and volunteers can be to the families of children with life limiting conditions. It has been wonderful to see the fantastic public support for Children’s Hospice Week over the last few days. Please continue supporting your local children’s hospice in whatever way you can.”

Kate’s Pregnant!

Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!

The announcement came on Monday, December 3, 2012 that Kate was less than twelve weeks pregnant and was admitted to King Edward VII hospital in Central London. She was suffering from acute morning sickness (Hyperemesis Gravidarum).

The Duchess was staying with her parents in Bucklebury and was driven by William (she refused the offer to be transported via ambulance) to the hospital.

After a three day over-night stay in the hospital, Kate was, this morning, discharged. She will now head to Kensington Palace for a period of rest.

The Duchess of Cambridge wrapped up for the cold in a navy blue Diane von Furstenberg Simyonette Plaid Coat (thanks to WKW for the ID), a baby blue scarf and her black Russell & Bromley knee high ‘Charge It’ boots while holding a bunch of bright yellow flowers. Kate’s glossy hair was immaculately pinned up into an elegant half-ponytail.

The Details

The Diane von Furstenberg Simyonette Plaid Coat ($675) is from the designers autumn/winter 2010 collection. The wool (60% cotton/40% wool) coat features a muted plaid pattern, a double breasted collar, ruffle accents around the cuffs and a back belt.
