Kate Looks Striking in Red as She Attends The Queen’s Pre-Christmas Lunch

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh traditionally host an annual pre-Christmas lunch for their family, before leaving for Sandringham where they spend the holidays. This allows them to catch up with more distant relations, who are not invited to join them at their country estate on December 25th.

William and Kate arrived at Buckingham Palace without Prince George, however on their way out, it was noted that the prince was seated alongside nanny Maria Theresa Borrallo in the back of his parents’ car.

Wills & Kate Attend the Wedding of Emily McCorquodale & James Hutt

On Saturday Emily McCorquodale celebrated her marriage to James Hutt. Emily grew up alongside William & Harry (she is the daughter of Princess Diana’s sister – Lady Sarah), spending childhood holidays playing in the sand with her cousins.

The wedding was attended by William, Kate & Harry and took place in a pretty church in the Lincolnshire hamlet of Stoke Rochford.

Once again, Kate decided to shop her closet and wore some familiar pieces.

The Duchess wore the Jenny Packham dress from the polo match last summer. It’s a ‘De Gournay’ silver and marble grey hand-painted chinoiserie silk frock from Packham’s Spring 2011 collection.

On top of the, Kate wore her Katherine Hooker dove-gray, cowl jewel cuffed Katherine Hooker ‘Buxton’ coat from Ms. Hooker’s Summer 2011 Collection. Kate wore this coat to the Garter Day Celebrations back in June 2011.

The Duchess of Cambridge made a small fashion faux pas. Her dress was longer than her coat.
She completed the muted look with elegant Whiteley hat that she wore to the Epsom Derby last year.
Kate wore her hair half up in a braid around the crown of her head.
The Duchess accessorized with her Hobbs Somerton Clutch, her nude L.K.Bennett heels, her Heavenly Necklace Earrings, and, of course, her gorgeous sapphire and diamond engagement ring.

Kate is all smiles as she attends Garter Day celebrations

Earlier today, Kate was all smiles as she took part in Garter Day celebrations with the Royal Family.

William was made a Knight of the Garter, becoming the 1,000th member of the Order – founded more than 600 years ago by Edward III, who sought to institute a band of knights similar to those on King Arthur’s Round Table. Membership is restricted to Royals and 24 others, such as former prime ministers.

Kate looked elegant in a Katherine Hooker dove-gray, cowl neck dress and matching jewel cuffed Katherin Hooker ‘Buxton’ coat (Summer 2011 Collection). Her Rachel Trevor-Morgan ‘Bespoke’ headpiece, suede court shoes and suede clutch were also gray.

The coat was customized especially for Kate. Beaded lace trim was added to the cuffs and waistband. To fasten the coat and emphasize her tiny waistline an antique clasp was used. The coat material was silk and the color is ‘Ash.’

Kate wore a diamond cruifix pendant, Kiki McDonough earrings (from the ‘Grace Collection’) and of course her gorgeous sapphire and diamond engagement ring.

Kate’s Coat is Identified!

After some careful research, the designer of Kate’s coat has been identified! The velvet-collared coat is by London based designer, Katherine Hooker. This coat was previously worn by Kate in 2006 at the Cheltenham Gold Cup horse race (see picture below).

According to the Telegraph, the mid-calf length coat was shortened by Katherin Hooker herself so that it would hit just above the knee. The coat is known as the “London Contrast” coat and is made from Shetland herringbone with a brown velvet trim. Prices range from £520 (Express Collection Fabric) to £1,175 (Special Collection Fabric).
