How to get your hands on a piece of special collaboration Emma Bridgewater pottery

You may recall from my previous post that Kate collaborated with Emma Bridgewater to design a range of pottery to raise money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices’ (EACH) nook appeal.

Kate Goes Solo at an Up-and-Coming Athletes SportsAid Workshop

This morning, Kate showed her support for young, aspiring athletes by attending a SportsAid workshop at the GSK Human Performance Lab in Brentford, West London

SportsAid offers financial and practical assistance to young British athletes and, since it was established in 1976, has helped many of the UK’s best-known sportsmen and women. The GSK lab, set up by the pharmaceuticals firm GlaxoSmithKline, offers the athletes an unrivalled chance to experience world class training facilities that are usually only available to elite athletes.

Around two thirds of the British team the at London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and more than 450 athletes who competed at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow over the summer were recipients of SportsAid support.

The Duchess watched as the young athletes took part in a number of advanced performance tests, the data for which was supplied to their coaches to help improve their training and competition programs. Tests included strength and power assessments, cognitive testing, body composition assessments and tests in an environmental chamber set to match the heat and humidity of Tokyo.

At one of the stations, Kate tried out some cognitive testing equipment, which tests hand-eye co-ordination. She joked that it was one thing she could do when pregnant.

Wills, Kate & Harry Head to Glasgow to Watch the Commonwealth Games

On day five of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, William, Kate and Harry headed to Glasgow, Scotland to show their support.

The trio took their seats in the Games family section and joined thousands of spectators to watch the artistic gymnastics at the Hydro stadium. They arrived shortly before 3pm as gymnasts from across the Commonwealth competed in the men’s and women’s team finals, and individual qualifying rounds.

Thanks to ‘Kate’s Closet’ on FB for the heads up! Jaeger will be restocking their ‘Crepe Dress with Navy Trim’ that Kate wore to the America’s Cup Challenge breakfast.

On the Jaeger FB page they posted that they are expecting more stock tomorrow! You can also go to their website and sign up for an email notification. The frock is still on sale for £99.

I don’t usually post Replikates, but this is one that I plan to buy myself so I thought I’d share. The Royal Trust Collection is offering a replica of the Queen’s New Zealand Silver-Fern Brooch (and the brooch Kate borrowed for her New Zealand/Australia 2014 Tour). The brooch features Swarovski crystals set in white gold-plated metal and sells for an affordable £65.

Kate Celebrates Prince Phillips 93rd Birthday at Buckingham Palace Garden Party
