Kate Pops into John Lewis for a Spot of Retail Therapy

On Monday, Kate was photographed popping into John Lewis department store in Chelsea for some retail therapy.

Eyewitnesses said she arrived with two security guards, only stayed an hour, and left carrying her own bags.

The Duchess stayed warm and covered her baby bump with a new dusty-pink ‘Straight-cut’ coat by Zara (originally $149, went on sale for $99.99). As of this writing, the coat is sold out.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took the train from Kings Lynn, Norfolk back to London and arrived during rush-hour, making their way, almost unnoticed among the heavy crowds.

The couple had been staying at Anmer Hall for the past fortnight, overseeing the final stages of a £1.5million refurbishment. Their home is on the Queen’s Sandringham estate, and is where they will be spending more time when Prince William starts his new job as a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Odds, Ends and Some New Photos

‘Who’ Magazine

Australian Magazine ‘Who’ has published some new pictures of Kate. It seems that she got her hair done at the Rossano Ferretti salon in Mayfair on June 19th. This is unusual as she normally visits Richard Ward in Chelsea.

The Ferretti salon is located in a chic townhouse and is part of a chain, including salons in Paris, New York, Miami, Madrid, Rome and Venice. The salon is familiar to the Middleton family, as her mother Carole and sister Pippa have both had their hair styled there.

Ferretti, who opened his London salon earlier last year, has a number of other high-profile celebrity clients, including Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek. He has also worked on catwalk shows for both Armani and Dior.

In other news…The Daily Mail published snaps of the royal couple getting out of a helicopter on June 25. Kate’s bump looks smaller than in recent shots so I am uncertain as to when it was actually taken.

William, Kate and pet dog Lupo were the recipients of a free ride from Simon Oliphant-Hope,a friend of the couple and managing director of Shoreham-based Eastern Atlantic Helicopters. He was flying past their home in North Wales, picked them up, and then dropped them off at an aerodrome on the outskirts of London.

Update 4/18/2013

The Really Wild Clothing Company has release details on Kate’s tweed waistcoat. They are confirming it’s the ‘Tweed Waistcoat in Mulberry’ (£150 on sale).

Per Really Wild Clothing Company on FB
‘The Tweed Waistcoat in Mulberry, as worn by The Duchess of Cambridge last week. Now in our sale at £150, please contact us if you would like further details.http://www.reallywildclothing.co.uk/contactus ‘
‘The image is not of great quality and therefore we cannot be 100% sure. Due to the colour, alcantara shoulder patches and how the waistcoat sits, we are confident that it is not made from leather and is in our Mulberry tweed. I hope that this helps and please let us know if we can give any further advice.’
